I might have to break down and use the MyQ stuff, too - as much as I despise the idea of opening up my home to WiFi hackery. I even got the homelink repeater and still no dice. The Panamera is _really_ a pain to program, but I've succeeded in the past - with the Liftmaster door opener it's been nothing but fail. The 911 acts like it's working (flashes the headlights when it "hears" the codes from the remote - but still won't operate the door). My most recent replacement Liftmaster system (same manufacturer as Chamberlain I think) I've utterly failed to get it to work with either my 2019 911 or my 2019 Panamera. Two very old pre-existing Genie lift systems, no issues.Ī replacement Chamberlain system, no issues. I've owned 5 Porsches and programmed the garage door lift systems in two different homes and I've replaced the garage opener systems in each - so that's 5 cars and 4 different garage door openers - needless to say I became pretty familiar with the homelink process. YouTube however had the information I needed. It really does depend on the garage door opener manufacturer and the model. Bridge Kit is designed to allow compatibility between an older variant of the HomeLink system in your vehicle and Chamberlain, Sears Craftsman, Raynor, or LiftMaster garage door opener fitted with a yellow antenna wire. For me, it depends on the manufacturer/receiver. No, you have to have a handheld transmitter or wireless keypad to program HomeLink. I've had to use different methods to establish the link. I've moved twice since I've had my 2016 C2 Cab. If you press the Homelink button again, the door should now operate Once the light on the garage door opener (motor) blinks on and off 3 times you're done. Go back in the car and press and hold the same Homelink button from Step 2. On most units this will light a red LED.ĥ. On the garage door opener unit (motor) press and release the learn button. If the door is open it will close and vice versa.Ĥ. This step will cause the garage door to open or close, depending on the current state. Once the parking lights blink on and off 3 times you can release the button. Press and hold the button on the remote that opens the garage door you want to open. Point the remote garage door opener 6 to 12 inches in front of the left headlight (passenger side). Now position yourself at the front of the car so that you're facing the windshield. Press and release the Homelink button you wish to program. Once the light flashes rapidly you can release the buttons.Ģ. Clear all codes on the Homelink opener by pressing the 1st and 3rd (left and right) buttons for 20 seconds. You will need the remote garage door opener that you usually clip on a visor.ġ. The steps work for garage door openers that have a rolling code. This is what I did to get the Homelink garage door opener to work on all my cars. I've seen several threads on programing a Homelink devices and they all are missing the final step to complete the process.
